Donor Privacy Policy

Lydia’s House is committed to respecting the privacy of its donors and has developed this privacy policy to ensure that the donors’ information will not be shared with any third party.

Awareness: Lydia’s House provides this Donor Privacy Policy to make the donors aware of its privacy policy, and to inform them of the way their information is used. Lydia’s House also provides them with the opportunity to remove their name from its mailing list, if they desire to do so.

Information Collected: Here are the types of donor information collected and maintained:

  • Contact information: name, complete address (either home or work, as provided by the donor), phone number, email address;
  • Payment information: credit card number and expiration date (this information is not kept on file and is destroyed after the payment has been processed) and other billing information;
  • Information that the donor wishes to share: questions, comments, suggestions, and
  • Request to receive periodic updates; e.g., to donors who request it, Lydia’s House will send periodic mailings related to specific fund-raising appeals, upcoming events and newsletters.

How Information is Used: Lydia’s House uses donors’ information to process and complete payment transactions, communicate back to the donors, and to provide them with regular agency updates.

No Sharing of Personal Information: Lydia’s House will not sell, rent or lease donors’ personal information to other organizations. Lydia’s House assures it’s donors that the identity of all its donors will be kept confidential. Use of donors’ information will be limited to the internal purposes of Lydia’s House.

Removing Donor Name from Mailing List: It is Lydia’s House’s desire to not send unwanted mail to its donors. Please contact Lydia’s House if the donor wishes to be removed from the mailing list.
